SCORE named finalist for 2017 Hollywood Music In Media Awards
LOS ANGELES — The Hollywood Music In Media Awards has announced nominations for its annual honors, one of the key indicators of the Academy Awards' Best Original Score category, and SCORE: A FILM MUSIC DOCUMENTARY is one of the nominees.
The awards will be announced November 16 in Hollywood, but finalists were announced on the organization's official website.
SCORE: A FILM MUSIC DOCUMENTARY and its composer Ryan Taubert are nominated in the Music Documentary category, along with five other films: Clive Davis, Eagles of Death Metal, Gaga: Five Foot Two, Requiem For My Mother, and Women Who Score.
Nominees for best feature film score were Carter Burwell (Wonderstruck), Daniel Pemberton (All the Money in the World), Dario Marianelli (Darkest Hour), Mychael Danna (The Man Who Invented Christmas), Nicholas Britell (Battle of the Sexes), Oneohtrix Point Never (Good Time), Tamar-Kali Brown (Mudbound), and Thomas Newman (Victoria and Abdul).
This is SCORE's first award nomination. It is also eligible for the Grammy Awards for Best Music Film, and the Academy Awards for Feature Documentary.
