SCORE Progress Update

To our SCORE supporters around the world:

It’s hard to believe three months have passed since our Kickstarter campaign closed, but if you’ve been tracking our social media, you’ve seen some of the major successes we’ve had! We’re now in the process of finishing up our shooting (with the exception of a few key interviews we expect to complete in the next couple months).

We are hard at work editing the script and are on track to have a rough cut of the film completed by early August. We’ve continued to add more film music masters to our lineup along the way, including:

  • Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor

  • Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL (Mad Max: Fury Road)

  • Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Furious Seven)

  • Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Little Miss Sunshine)

  • Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina, V For Vendetta)

  • David Arnold (five of the last six James Bond 007 films, Independence Day, Sherlock television series).

  • Steve Jablonsky (Transformers franchise)

  • Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, Minions) Moby (electronic/dance music pioneer)

Thanks to your generous support, we sent a crew to London in June, where we filmed Joe Kraemer scoring Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation at the historic Abbey Road studios, visited the awe-inspiring (and some say haunted) Air Lyndhurst studios, and had the opportunity to meet up with some other prolific composers in film music’s “second city,” including Patrick Doyle and Rachel Portman.

Beyond these incredible composers, we have more interviews scheduled this summer and will continue with some key figures throughout the editing process. There are also a few very prominent names that you may have noticed are still missing from our list. Don’t worry — we want them to be a part of SCORE too and are working to include them in the film.

Your support has been incredible and humbling. We feel this responsibility, and we are going to get this right. SCORE is on its way to becoming a definitive work on the art of film music, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

We will continue to post updates at key production milestones to this page, but in the meantime we encourage you to like and follow our Facebook page, where we post weekly updates and photos of our progress.

Thank you for your support, and for giving us this opportunity to make something truly awesome that will live for decades.
